Hi, currently using stock 15-in rims and tyres. Time to change tyres, and I have beautiful sport rims, 16in. Will these fit to my daughter's 1996 e34 520i? Thinking to plug them in with new tyres size 205x55x16. Any idea whether these will work, or possibly rub against something? A friend gave the rims to me after he found they could not fit onto his 5 series - they were touching something or other on the chassis. Want to buy the tyres, have them fitted onto the rims ready for when my daughter comes back next week, then just plug them in. But don't want to waste money if the rims won't fit. Help?

Bro you can look on the rim itself there is engraved inside of the rim...the rim with the rim offset n so on....

aku ada stereng lori dan bas......kau ada....

im using e34 520i aswell... replace it with E60 16" wheel.... Fit perfectly with 20 offset... using tire size 225/55/16, that tire are include with the wheel i buy.. For all 5 series its just plug and play to the e34 with 20+ offset... but not for E39.. E39 has a different bore size... For 3 series wheel bore will have no problem for some wheel, only offset are the problem... Small offset will do but Bigger offset will hit the inside fender... correct me if im wrong... cheers...

Some numbers on the rims: 1S47 7J x 16H2 9104T2, BMW 1094498. These are 16in rims, and I measured the centre bore 72mm, offset 140mm (??). Will get a pic and upload it.

It is 47mm offset which meant for 3 series bmw. It will rub against something on the inside if fit into 5 series.

Those are BMW Style 45 meant for 3 series specifically e46 so the answer is no, its not meant for the E34

e34 share the same wheel offset with e32 7 series. I've seen e32 running on this wheel. All you need to do is install spacers in between the mounting hub and the rims to compensate the offset.
