The range +- would be 35-46 if I remember correctly, however offset depends on design and width. Therefore, the rim width has to be taken into consideration as well when comparing offset. You may fit higher or lower offset wheels but you might have to get smaller size tyres to avoid rubbing either on the inside (using higher offset) or outside (using lower offset). There are ppl running on ET12, ET15, ET20...etc offsets on their E36's so depends what you're looking for.
