"!" yellow light did not turn off

I have a problem with my E36 , when I did switch on the engine the yellow light "!" indicator did not turn off and I have to switch off and on agains until the yellow light turn off... because the engine would not start until the yellow light off. WHAT IS THE PROBLEM???? After doing the engine scanning the mechanic told me that it is the Airflow sensor problem!!. Is it true?. How much the halfcut air flow sensor will cost me?....Can it be other problems other than airflow sensor because I doesnot want wasting my money on that and later on the same problem still exists...My model is recond German spec 92/96 without vanos... 2000cc,....

Hi ,

It happenned to me once caused by kick-off switch faulty.Changed it (forgot how much) maybe below below RM 100 only.
