Am looking to get a 520d . So far one seller is offering his 2011 model with extensive works done for wear and tear. Anyone has any issues with the 2011 model?
Anyone else selling ? Would prefer the 2016 520d with the newer engine but it’s very hard to come by.
 
Most diesel owners are in love with their machines bro. With proper maintenance records, such as the unit ur being offered, is already good since u know what to look at and there is transparency by the seller. Do bear in mind that the unit being offered, is already 9 years old. So far, the main gripe for the 520d is the timing chain railing (its made of hard plastic, and will fail at some point) , but guess the unit has already changed that?

The latest B47 diesel engine yes is an improvement over the N47, but maybe still to early to be sold? Tried BMW's premium selection? the last batch of the F10 520d sports a very attractive M-sport kit.

Thanks a lot bro, I will have to check again about the timing chain railing from the owner. He is offering RM89k for his car, which is at 120k KM . As for the B47 engine , one seller is offering his at around 120k KM also , 2015 model, at RM170K. This is the unit whereby 50 units was rolled out in 2015.
 
The 2015 520d Msport is pretty tempting, but the price is steep. U'd sleep better if u hv a full service history ride. Also, check if the owner changed the pulley dampers. Those big torque seriously pushes those dampers to crack/fail.
 
Thanks bro. I agree about the sleeping better part haha. The 2015 owner knows his car’s value and sternly says Non negotiable. Haha
