Anyone here installed any bodykits from Redzone (Puchong)? If yes, how's their workmanship? I'm interested in changing my rear e39 bumper to the mtek/m5 bumper. Any inputs on them would be great. Thanks!

Hello all. I'm new to this forum. I use this thread to express my greatest disappointment with Redzone Motorsport workmanship.

Recently, I went to redzone to install Eibach lowering spring and M5 style side mirror. Abide with their advertisement stating that they are a BMW specialist, I decided to carry on with the installation. It turned out it was a bad decision. I found out that their worker are not really knowledgable and their boss are not a responsible person. Semuanya main hentam saja.

During installation the spring, their worker made a mistake by putting the rubber guard between the spring and the mounting plate in not proper way. They rubber guard should be sitting in the 'longkang' mounting plate. I told him it was incorrect and he replied " oh..memang macam tu sebab hujung eibach spring lebih kecil dari stock spring jadi getah tu sedikit terkeluar dari mounting plate". How come Eibach made a spring that specially designed for BMW E39 differrent size at the end?.. the length of course differrent that make it lower. Then I told their 'chief' mechanic and he also replied the same. Ok I let him finish. During reinstallation the absorber, once again I noticed this guy made a ridiculous job by using air crompressor to tighten the absorber nuts beween car body and absorber mounting plate. What happened you know? He damaged the nuts and the screw thread...they became loose... ahhhhh tension. I asked him why you damage the nuts and mounting plate screw and he cheated by saying "screw tu sudah karat dan lama sebab tu rosak". Then I complained to his boss and the boss also told me the same. I said "macammana tak rosak you pasang nut belum betul lepas tu pakai air compressor hancur la dia. Mana ada karat. Ini benda never ever tempered before.. tak pernah dibuka pun sebelum ni. They under the hood.. mana ada karat. Tadi you buka senang saja. These ones should be using hand not air compressor" I got angry. Dia diam saja. Then I tested the boss by asking " how much tightening torque should you apply for these nuts?" He cannot answer but he tried to cover up by saying "tak perlu itu semua... janji ketat"..;-). After he finish installing the springs, he proceeded with M5 style mirror. This time he damaged the tweeter mesh cover and again he cheated me by saying that the cover is initially like that. Who's the owner? He or me?

After that day I have to go back two times to the shop to adjust the spring guards front and back because they made noise during driving. The spring didn't sitting properly in the guard. This time they admitted they have made mistake. Second one, they have to reinstalled antiroll bar nut washer because that guy left it behind during installation after I discovered the washer wasn't there.

From my observation, there are a lot of BMW and other cars nuts, washer and screws left around at the shop and I can say that someone cars don't have enough nuts and screws but they might not notice it. Moreover, I also asked their workers whether they apply the right tightening torque to the nuts and srews as suggested by BMW and they don't even know it. How come they claimed themselves as BMW specialist?

My advise is if you have no choice and have to go to Redzone Motorsport shops, make sure you're there observe their job. Don't simply leave or drop your car there. Your car might miss something.

That's all.

the iklan like tere only.. as usual lah, most ppl try to oversell themselves.

I dun think they are specialist of BMW....they mainly sell stuff for BMW only....things like putting in springs best to go to a proper mechanic familiar with the car
