wiper won't stop...!

driving thru heavy rain today, then the rain stopped but not my wiper! Stop by roadside, off/on the engine then it stopped..could somebody tell me what wrong? driving e30m40 318i...

Think it something to do with relay...where is the relay location? how to check the relay condition? (other than replacing it with the new one..)

Something got wet it seems. I had this on other cars, at fist refuse to work, than car would be parked for days under the sun, and after than wipers would work without a fail for months.

experienced this a while back...searched online n found a trick which worked;
pull out the long black fuse n clean it up nice & proper...solved the prob till now

No lar, it is the copper contact in the wiper motor.

When you on the wiper, the motor is keep running until it return back to the park position. How do you think the wiper always come back to it parked position? There is holding circuit like a sliding contact which will keep the motor running until it return to its park position. This is where the contact break and stop the motor.
