the nozzles spitting water instead of spraying. any idea how much brand new or chop shop? mine's a 2000 528i UK

It might even be a leaky hose.

If it is the windscreen washer pump, I dont recommend you buy used. The impeller is made of rubber and if the pump has been stored dry for a long time, the rubber impeller becomes brittle and in no time, it will dissintegrate. I had it happen to me before. After 2 months ended up buying new.

Can be couple reasons that it is spitting.
The most likely 1 is because of a leaking hose. To check, open the bonnet and spay, if the if water is leaking underneath the bonnet. The 2nd most likely will be the clogged, use neddle to very carefully poke it into the nozzle and if it is still jammed, get your mech to use the airgun to blow it in through the nozzle. That last one will be the motor, a new one will probably cost you about Rm100. Why I know? Just got mine done and it was due to broken hose.

thanks gerald. thanks everyone,
Pretty sure its not clogged or leaking hose. Now, first pull on the wiper lever produces some spitting. Hold the lever there, the spitting became weaker and weaker until only the left nozzle spitting. nothing from the right. U sure the price is around RM100?...brand new? Where did you buy yours? TQ

Just change mine but e46 (wiper water pump) cost me RM 65 only. Not so sure for 5er, I believe it's around that figure. Pls check with your mech or direct buy from spare part shop
