I'm a bit bored at the office. Let's see who has the hearts of forumers in terms of winning this year's F1 driver's championship

BTW, what happens when there's a tie in points and number of race wins? I guess sequentially, it would be the number of second places?

Hmmm..tough call, considering the outcome will be decided on the last race. Felt sorry for Alonso during the start of the season, but after hearing and reading about his ungentlemanly manners on and off the race track, I'll put my money on Hamilton for the championship honours.

It's a wonder how Alonso could let his bad attitude ruin his standing among F1 fans. So what if you're F1 champion but nobody likes you?!! Oh, the latest news is Mercedes' board has voted to axe his from McLaren for next year!

Lewis.. so next year every drivers salary goes down but Lewis.. Ha..ha..

and hopefully Micheal will make a comeback to show Lewis a thing or two..

I put my vote in for the rookie. Alonso's conduct in recent months, is in my view, unbecoming of a world champ. So since Ferarri is sticking with Massa, and if Mercedes don't want him, guess Alonso is going back to Renault?

Mark Webber has vowed to cross his fingers for Fernando Alonso this weekend as the 2007 championship reaches its climax in Brazil.

Twice title winner Alonso is four points behind his rookie McLaren team-mate Lewis Hamilton with just the Interlagos finale to go, with Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen a further three points adrift.

"I would be delighted if Fernando won it," Webber told the Spanish newspaper Diario As, "but I do think that Hamilton is going to.

"He is in the best position to be champion."

The Red Bull racer said Alonso is his personal favourite because of his 'good friendship' with the Spaniard over many seasons.

Despite their friendship, however, Webber joins Bernie Ecclestone in excitingly contemplating a Senna-Prost style collision that could crown the champion.

"That would be very interesting!" he beamed, "and then Raikkonen would win the championship."

Honda racer Rubens Barrichello also said he hoped Alonso emerges on Sunday as F1's newest triple world champion.

"If you ask me who I prefer personally, then I would say Alonso," the Brazilian said. "Firstly because he is a great driver, but also because of everything he has gone through this season."

Former McLaren team coordinator Jo Ramirez, however, says it has been fascinating to watch how Alonso handled his championship campaign in 2007.

"Against Schumacher, he was flawless," the Mexican told sportnet.at, "but this year his team-mate has beaten him and he has made so many mistakes.

"It is really interesting. I have lived in Spain most of my life and have read in the newspapers how McLaren favour Hamilton and that Alonso has done absolutely nothing wrong.

"That is all nonsense!"

raikkonen for champion coz he's cool and funny in a serious way... "i was taking a shit"... ahkakaka

I would like to see Raikonnen win. He has been so cool and patient. He fought very hard when he was with Mclaren, especially when he had a bummer of a car. Hamilton deserves to win because he has been a clean driver and for a first timer, has shown his worth. But I won't rule out what Alonso might do. In the race, if Alonso can't win; he will try to ensure his buddy, Hamilton doesn't either - as a parting gift to Mclaren.
