hi guysi just think of to let go my E36 95's 318 (M) bcos consider to get a 97-98's E39- Pearl white color (which makes the car looks younger than it's actual age)- 8000K HID- 7000k Angel eye- interior is very clean (it's cleaner & newer than some newer version of E36 i have seen)- bodykitted- electronic adjustable M3 side mirror- new fog lamp which i put GOLDEN colored bulb for it which is good on dark-highway (combine with the HID, it's perfect)- engine quite quiet- very sporty- chrome grill- chrome plated door opener- chrome plated booth lip (correct if i m wrong, sorry bcos dont know what it called)- 17" the E36 era of M3 coutour RIM http://www.sportyperformancecar.com/includes/images/BMW_M3/BMWM3rim.jpg (it's original M3 rim[not replica so it's very stable , this is the reason y i dont chnage it off until now], but it look older a bit but if i do sell, u can easily get a new 18" AC Type IV rim at RM 2k (replica of course)- http://www.streetdreams.org/wheels/acschnitzer/acschnitzer_type4_silver.jpg (recommend SILVER color without bullet), it will look very perfect with this rim)- timing chain (not timing belt which is old version)- Roadtax is very cheap - RM 330+-/year since it's only 1800cc (very save for ur pocket, so it's not a burden for roadtax, 325 cost RM 880/year, 328 cost RM 1600+/year)- 4 absorbers are new one which i replaced it last yearthe acceleration is good since it's manual and it's running timing chain not the old timing belt version and interior is clean (bcos i have seen some 97-98 model's E36 where their interior are worsen a lot then mine), with 8000k HID (good one which is very bright especially on highway, but i have lowered the degree of the beam already & it wont be too high for opposite side driver), 7000k angel eye ring, M3 side mirror, the original older coutour M3 sport rim, roadtax only RM 330/year since it's 1800cc but since it's (M)anual, it's not underpower at all & petrol consumption also very low for this car & consumption lesser than a wire 1.5 (A) a lot, the car is in very good sharp since i m a car lover alsojust wonder what's the pricing should i sell for this car?and can any bank still loan for a 11 years old car? if do, what bank and at what rate?i m not selling it now, but just wanna know the price for the car with the accessories i mentioned aboved (bcos i know the price would be very cheap if it's a plain car... but just wanna know how much with my mentioned accessories attached bcos i have spent a lot to add up those accessories)is there any member here with E21/E30 wanna upgrade to E36?thanksplz dont flame on this thread if u feel i m over-elaborated on this post, forgive me if u do feel so, bcos i just want to know how much should i sell for it...Dave

post some pictures lah...brother, original bodykits or replica ? the price for your ride maybe abt 40-45K....if in good condition.

Curious, I googled for the post and pre 96 E36 318, and I found there are few version of engines. The M40B18, M43B18 engines. My question is, which is the one AB was selling? Thanks.

Dave,

Nicely kitted out car! Iam looking for E36, either the 325 or 318. Equal chances on both depending on condition of the car.

The M40B18 is a 1.8 L (1796cc) version of the M40 producing 115 hp of mechanical power and 165 ft. lbf. of force. It uses Bosch M1.3 fuel injection.

Applications:

1987–1995 E30 318i
1988–1994 E34 518i
1992–1993 E36 318i

The M43B18 was a 1.8 L (1796cc) version. It produced 85 kW (114 hp) and 168 N·m (124 ft·lbf) with Bosch M1.7.1 fuel injection.

Applications:

1992-2000 E36 318i
1994-1996 E34 518i
1995-2001 E36 Z3 1.8

Predecessor of M40 was M12 and successor for M40 is M43. Successor for M43 is N42

dave if you feel u want to have a auto tranny pls pm me ....we can work out a DEAL. hehehe

Manjit,

Thanks for the info. So my guess is AB is selling the non-iS version M engines. Hmmm....

Dave,

Just keep the E36 since u spent a lot on it. Save money and buy another E39 if not now in few years time. U can hv later years of E39. BMW always upgrade the model almost every years and latest year get all the gadget. If permit u may hv E60. Just keep yr E36 as a daily car. It will not cost u a bomb;)

So many nice mods on your car but unfortunately for 2nd hand market those are valueless, only the year, condition and the model is important for bank loan purpose. So it will be aprox RM40-45k. If you can find someone who likes mods then they will be willing to pay slightly higher.

I agree with initialM, just keep the car. 318(M) is still good for city driving and doesn't use up much petrol. Get the e39 as a 2nd car for outstation and weekend drive.
