What is the effect if Aircond fan not function?

My fren asking me, his e36 aircond fan is not function but the aircond is still cold..and he decided not to fix it at the moment becoz lack of fund..what is the use of this fan? can my fren delay the replacement since he said that the car aircond still cold without that fan....

the purpose of the fan is to cool down the condensor for it to transfer heat to change the gas to liquid and forwarded to the cooling coil(evaporator) for for the cold air effect.if the fan is inoperative then this heat transfer efficiency will be much reduced and the a/c will feel less cold if stuck in traffic jams.if car cruising then no problems as the ram air does the work of the fan.

u know what..my fren tested another e36 aircond panel at workshop just now..since me also tested another e39 aircond panel...then..suprisingly...that aircond fan move...wah!

another purpose of tht aux fan is it will turn on for additional cooling if the cooling sys gets hot ie > 1/2 marks on your temp gauge. for dablevanos ori auxfan will cost u around +-1,300 rm
