Hi all...just thought i should share my day with you guys...well the story goes this way... I was driving my e36 which i've just taken over last 3 days. Around Sunway area looking for some tinting and upholestery shop....while driving, bump into a friend whose car is in a workshop! So went in chit chat and just to find out that his friends had just opened a new BMW specialist called Bimmerholic! They are very professional people and are friendly and informative. After chit chat i left the workshop. Went to FA Italia to check out some Alfas (sebab gatal la ni...) When i get back in my car, omg...it couldnt start! Freaked out! Immediately called the guys whom i just get to know frm Bimmerholics and they came right away! But that faults was solved by the Alfa guy just before they could reach, kudos to Terry On from FA Italia, thank you very much seriously. Manage to start it again, drive back to Bimmerholics and have it checked again. Idling valve problem, apparently its dirty or something. They clean it and have my car checked everything and everything...works fine now and i am truely impressed with their good service and attitude not to mention their good profession and experience in fixing BMWs. I thought its only fair for me to share this here and also, they are providing free services to all BMWs for Raya occasion. Anyone intending to do a service before Raya i would highly recommend that you give it a try. Here is the add i get from their name card, ADD : 12, Jln PJS 11/14,Bandar Sunway, 46150 PJ, Selangor.TEL : 03-5638 8162 Look for Tim or Azhar. Very nice and helpful people. And also, they did not charge me anything. So guys, sorry if the story bores you but i just have to spread the words here for this new people whose also out there providing services and care to our UDMs... Also thanks again to Terry from FA Italia. Cheers. Best regards

Hi EuJax,

actually what happen to your car. why it can't start. What Terry had done. and is it really free services to all BMWs by Tim or Azhar

happy driving your new udm.

Were you having fun at high revs before you reached FA Italia? :D My E36 does that too when the valve in the AFM is dirty, so it needs to be cleaned and lubed up every now and then. :)

Well...

Hi Strider, the fault seems to be that the idling vavle is not working well thus after the ignition it went dead immediately. Terry took the idling controller out and sorta clean it and grease it a bit just like what EvilNickWong said. It works after that.

And yes its free for all BMWs in BIMMERHOLIC so far i am concern but do call them to be assure again if you are keen. Only some labour charge, the oil and stuff is FOC.

Hi EvilNickWong, i did drive a little fast :D but didnt trash it laa :p How often do you clean yours? I mean are we suppose to replace it when it starts to give problem? :)

wow, this really good. normally people will give workmanship free and charge for the consumable. This guy do the other way around. I should give them a ring

The E36 is actually my mom's car, so it's not so necessary for me to clean it so often as she never takes it above 2.5k rpm anyway. :D But for a regular driver like us, I'd say just give it a cleaning yourself at home every coupla months. Just be careful with the air sensor and you'll be fine.

Yes you could replace it with a new one, but as far as I know, a new unit for the E36 is > RM1k, so I think I can put up with some DIY instead. :D

Just about any part for BMW in Malaysia (Apart from Cigarette lighter) is RM1K... LOL
