Weird AC issue

Issue still not resolved, today morning started the car and the aircon was not blowing cold anymore, after driving then it became cold [emoji45][emoji52]

Is it when you put N at traffic no cold air and put D not moving will blows cold air ?

Tweiboon not really, it happens in many occassions, sometimes while driving long distance then all of a sudden it stops blowing cold air, then i press the ac off for a few sec then on back then it blows back cold air.

There has been suggestions for you to replace the compressor a long time ago. My E39 had a similar problem like yours. Ah Yaw SSG Car Cooler suggested that I replaced the compressor and issue has been resolved ever since.

Hi Vincent, its always a gamble, based on 2 people's symptoms after replacing the FSU issue was resolved. Therefore i changed mine since now the issue is still there the next will be to replace the compressor.

Anakin, the issue is still there i haven't replaced a new compressor, i checked with another mechanic, he advised could be the air con controller unit which is having the issue cause after off on multiple times the air con kicks in, gonna get a spare from a friend and try, see if it resolves the issue

Suren, try replace your aircon dryer behind the right headlights in the engine bay, the thing looks like a small atomic bomb the size of your palm.

Faced the same problem like yours for a couple of months, i did my repair at Naidu pj, changed aircon thermostat (in front of the front right tire), aircon valve (driver side behind left foot kick panel) and that dryer.

Car almost 20yrs now, and of course some things needed to be changed

Hi All, My AC issue became worse, topped up gas and only lasted for 1 month, found out the leak is from the condenser, so this time round to solve the issue of ac not cold in the morning, replaced the condenser, dryer and a 2nd compressor. All good now no more issue when i leave the car overnight. When i start it blows cold air.

Special thanks to Vincent as he was persistent it was the compressor heheh.
