Hi All,Have an E34 and having the above problem.Wondering if anyone else has experienced it before and how it was resolved.Tried doing a search on the forums and didnt come up with any related hits.Need some help here.Notice that verytime the car is parked in heavy rain or after a wash, water gets into the sparkplug compartment and the car starts to misfire when i drive and its temporary resolved after the water is blown from where the sparkplug sits in.The mechs i checked with doesnt seem to know what the problem is though one suggested that i change the rubber seal under the bonnet cover and to see if that helps. Thought i get sound advise from the sifus here before i try any of those suggestions. Thanks in advance guys for your help.Cheers!

well, i had this problem too. first, the mechanic help to put some windscreen glue around the 2 round small cap cover (found on the top of the engine cover). this help to resolve. but sometime when is too heavy rain, water might still sip thru form engine cover thru the engine cover. the mechanic also recommend me to change the rubber seal around but yet to try that out. maybe try pulling up abit the rubber seal or add some additional rubber on the rubber seal.
