my abs front rear all still quite ok but feeling weird coz the fender to tire gap in the front part seems too big @ high than the gap in the rear.so thinking of putting lowered @ sports springs only to the front - will it look ok and safe? coz the rear parts seems low already...don't wanna touch it..anybody did this? any advice appreciatedalso if this can be done - if anyone wanna sell their lowered springs...front only better...or one set or adjustable set may also consider ok as long as they're good and price reliable, thx

BMW invested a lot of research into handling via suspension setup. Do invest in eibach and B8 all round should you wish to lower your car

i with eibach coil at front standard coil at back. it suit to my butt n taste. i hv tried eibach for all corner but at back its to low for me. sagat undercarrage going trough speed bump and more bumpier ride la... absober plak cheap blisten black color. enough for me.

Unos -your eibach front is the lowered coil? How does your car look? Not tonggek etc :p ... Dont really wanna go low but just want a balanced gap in both front and back... Wish adj abs are cheaper though.. ;p

yup lowered coil type... but just enough to compensate the gap in front wheel.. now look more balance... not tonggek la... if put the rear eibach spring back tire sudah masuk dalam fender..

All BMW rear wheel fender gap is narrower compared to front because rear tire no need to steer the car. If your lower your front, the central gravity will shift to the front, hence upset the weight distribution of the car. You will immediately feel front heavy when taking corners. Moreover, short spring is harder, hence when cornering, you will your rear is weak and tend to step out.

Of course if just go for the look that you like and dun mind driving and cornering slow, you can do whatever you wish. :4:

undestand that bro...but mine using std abds...the front just looks wayyy too high in comparison to the back...so just want to make the front drop just a lil bit

btw the pic looks good...that's on lowered springs for all 4 right? gap looks nice too...no complaints on that

Are you going for looks or handling? Beeme is known for the handling & just lowering the front might distort the whole balance. No more UDM feeling. If you're on a tight budget, just save more & go for all four instead of just the fronts. Or else, keep it as it is. Used to feel the huge front feel gap is an eyesore but got used to it.

Yeah man...i guess the front gap is a tad high since just changed most of the front suspenion parts and bushing...hope it will 'settle' and drops a bit lower gradually.

Guessi Might just keep it as it is for now and go for adjustable shocks smtime in the future...

Cheers!

All absorber weaken through time. And when car getting lower, the stance gets better. A sudden change of absorber will lift the car and spoil the stance. You only change front absorber?

i change most of the front bushings and arm bro...absorber still a bit new i think

so just have to wait i guess... :)

shock absorbers have nothing to do with ride height guys ;) ride height is detemined by the road springs and to a much smaller degree (milimeters only) by bushing being old and collapsed or new.

my advice is to only change shock absorbers and springs as complete sets------there are critical safety issues with mixing and matching these parts, as with tyres, never mix and match these parts. what with the weather we get here and the badly maintained roads, id stick with a proven set up, either stock, or a reputable after market tuning company product

If you don't match absorber damping rate with your spring rate, your suspension setup isn't going to behave very well. Especially on bumpy roads.

just got myself a pair of used sports AC Schnitzer springs for the front ... so far so good and i got my lil bit of drop ... just nice! hurrah! :D

hehehehe... just for front? same like me... want to compare ? just refer pic of my ride in my tread

I've been advised to install "bump stops" on the rear to raise it just a little to prevent my rear from rubbing during compression..that would introduce some rake to the vehicle as well.

Perhaps that is another option, but I didnt do that so I could not comment if it affects ride/handling.
