I would like to change my stock bars...Options:1) ACS2) M Tech///3) UUC (Sway Barbarians)4) RDAre these all available here and what do you guys recommend????Are urethane bushings the best bet?

1. ACS - had it on my E36 "Green Hornet" - lovely! Nothing but praises! 2-hole adjustable only.

2. M Tech - stiffer than stock but not as overly stiff cos its the thinnest of the lot here - a good compromise for comfort. Some still prefer something better. Works better with MTech shocks and springs setup.

3. UUC - cant say cos i have not tried it

4. RD - have one now - thicker and stiffer than ACS and 3-way adjustable. V expensive!

Mostly available here.
Recommendations depend on your driving style.

great advice!

thanks.

When you say stiff, does that apply only to the degree of body roll and lateral movement of the chassis, or does that include how the suspension rides the bumps and potholes??

Is a thick bar or stiffest setting hole position going to severely affect the comfort level?

I am using standard Boge shocks at the moment. Not too keen on it getting much bumpier than this.... I just want to reduce the roll in hard corners...

Does anyone know where to UUC SB's in KL????

My "stiff" refers to the bars themselves and when fitted on the car, the resulting feel. Anti roll bars prevents body roll in corners but as a side effect it will ultimately affect your comfort level when it eventually rides over uneven roads and numerous potholes in Malaysia. From the sounds of your post i would think the MTech will suit you. It reduces roll but has the least effect on your shocks and ride.

UUC's claim to be stiffer than most (including ACS, RD, MTech) so it might not be your best choice. UUC's are rare in KL but more some people from SG are bringing it in privately.

Comfort levels vary according to individual's butt so i can only say go take a ride in some forummer's car for a feel.

You didnt mention your location and the car you drive. Please update your profile so people can comment as appropriately for your application.

How abt eibach and whiteline sways bar?

Try have a look to Demon Tweeks Website , u may getting some information to compare with.

They sell whiteline for £210.70 (front & rear). For eibach, we have to email them. So cannot give the price right now.

But according to DC Dezign.com, they sell eibach sway bar for £285.00

Hi,
I have the UUC on my car.

To me they work very well, way better than OEM. Gone is that feeling of the inside rear tire lifting when doing tight turns.

If you would like a set PM me.

Thanks a lot guys....
Will take all this info into consideration before making my decision...

Cheers!

:) Eibach Anti-roll costs rm2400 in KL..phew!!! was planning to procure them but had to put it on hold first due to the price.

i plan to have an all eibach set-up to optimize the ride and handling as i feel they work the best together..

That's pretty steep!!! I believe the ACS set is also about there and the MTech is bout 1.5k but does not have urethane bushes like the ACS.

Where did you get the quote on the Eibach from?

Er - thats just about the right price. The RD's are more than 3k with the links.

Whiteline would be the cheapest eqquipped with PU bushes... Not sure what's the price now but it was about RM1500 roughly 1 year ago....
