Helloo guys....I have decided to go a head & buy 328i m-sport Melbourne Red. Any advice on tinting safe film & paint glass coating. I asked sales rep. For tinting so Auto Bavaria recommends V-kool, Van guard & 3M. What is your advice ??? Went to KLIMS...vendors claim the sky.....what say u ??

For tinting I also use 3m Crystalline for all my cars, looks and works the best in my opinion.

For paint coating I've always gone to Shine N Shield in Sunway, my last white car still looked great after 3 years (with yearly maintenance)

Too many brands are available in the market, every sales staff will said their product is the best. What am i looking for is a combination of Security as well as UV/Sunlight protection. Anyone has any good experience with their car where u still feel cool after prolong period under the sunlight ?

FYI, VKool is good for sunlight protection, but it doesn't serve as security film, please correct me if I am wrong.

I agree with molasses917,recently got my e39 tinted
with 3m crystalline (break proof) costs rm1.8k,
Reasonable price I guess. My second car with 3m.

Try Llumar bro, very good specs!

RX8 bro, have u personally experienced it ? Good sunlight blockage ? I am going to collect my car soon, the SA recommended me Llumar, I have not decided which brands to go. Many users said 3M crystaline is good.

I found this info, just wanted to share with you :
Tint, visible light transmission, total solar energy rejection, ultraviolet ray protection
Huper Optik X-Treme Ceramic 30%, 30, 63, 99.9
Huper Optik X-Treme Ceramic 35%, 34, 60, 99
Huper Optik X-Treme Ceramic 40%, 44, 54, 99
Huper Optik Drei (metalic), 35, 70, 99
FormulaOne Pinnacle 30, 33, 57, 99.5
FormulaOne Pinnacle 35, 39, 54, 99.5
Llumar CTX 30 Charcoal, 31, 50, 99
Llumar CTX 40 Charcoal, 43, 47, 99
3M Crystalline CR40, 39, 60, 99.9
3M Ceramic CM30, 36, 59, 99
3M Ceramic CM40, 44, 53, 99
V-Kool 40 (metalic), 42.8, 64.5, 99
Madico Wincos 30, 31, 59, 99
Madico Wincos 45, 45, 53, 99
Suntek CXP CXP35, 33, 53, 99
Suntek CXP CXP45, 40, 50, 99

I also read some comments with regards to VKool, avoid using VKool Elite, the sunlight protection is extremely bad, go for V-Kool 40 (metalic). However, VKool is more expensive than many brands, the closest brand that meet this is 3M Crystalline CR40. But, not sure it does also serves as secure film ?

Go for the tint with highest TSER if possible. I'm on Huper Optik Ceramic for current and last car. Superb heat rejection even for a car with dark interior. Current one slightly darker (C30, 30% VLT). No issue with Smart Tag or GPS too.

For coating, you can't go wrong with Opticoat. Get a quote from KC. He will not disappoint you with his work.

Consider this, 3M Nano 40S. It meets the same spec as 3M Crystalline 40, in addition to that, it is a security film.

U need to emphasize Nano 40 due to this type has the highest TSER. Unfortunately AB Penang didn't accept 3M, they only authorize VKool and Ilumar. So, for my case, I will go for VKool 40, but quite pricy in fact. For me, I am not particular about color as long as it keeps my car cool under the hot sun.

Hiii....guys I'll be collecting my car 2 day if my flight is not delayed. Any suggestion on paint coating?? Should I go for Meguiars glass coat*or shineNshield or Aquly frm ecotint ??? Anyone tried Aquly frm ecotint ???

Hello Msport867, did you finally try out G Guard? Tomorrow is a Sunday so no chance of asking them their prices for the xpel coating......

I had decided to go for VKool 40 instead of 3M due to AB doesn't accept 3M. I had compared VKool 40 spec, very closed to 3M crystalline 40 and also serves as secure film

If possible, please skip G Guard TCM for their coating service. Normal washing is alright. Go a little bit more further to G Guard Glenmarie for better service.
