Having trouble finding these tyre sizes listed on the Malaysian tyre company websites. For those who have upgraded to staggered 19 inch, what tyres are you using, where did you get them and how much you paid?If you include a short review would be even better!Let's try not have "I have heard but I have not experienced it myself" kinda "reviews"...

Very noisy those 19" tryes, juz confirm from Ingress Auto that the 'roaring' sound my car experiencing is normal tyre noise, hopefully it will be batter after the tyre run in.

Time to add in more sound proof or autofoam? Haha

I've tried Bridgestone Potenza S001 on rim style 172 for my E60. I paid RM7000 for the tyres & rims after traded in my 18" style 135 with Dunlop RFT.

End result was I traded them in & reverted back to 18" due to the tyre noise and bumpiness. May be it's just me but I just found it not to my liking.

Of course, on a nice surface road the firmer ride and handling is excellent. But it's just unfortunate that our roads are mostly poorly maintained. So I'm now riding on 18" michelin pilot super sport which is more comfortable.

Style 172 uses 275/30/ZR19 and 245/35/ZR19. For me, the tyre noise is also very loud and ride is bumpy. There's nothing much you can do because of the road condition in KL so I suggest you to settle off with 18" if comfort is what you are looking for.

Paul,

Sorry missed out on the sizes. Anyway, thanks to aoch88 for clarifying.

Fully agree that if comfort is of priority, then probably stick to 18". Anyhow, I may still try 19" in future but pair them with Michelin PSS. :D

looks like the e60's 19 inch uses thinner profiled tyres - 35 front and 30 rear. the f10's 19 inch uses 40 front and 35 rear.

Yes. but width are similar so probably road noise level could be the same too unless F10 has a better insulation. :D

Paul,

Any news on your tyres and wheels?

please give us some feedback. I am also contemplating in changing to 331 19 inch

Found a set, delivery mileage but asking 4.5K Sgd

Mine is just a Baisc 523I ( Spec is very sparse compare to Malaysia CKD unit)
535i M sport is a dream, but at this rate, I still cant afford yet, plus with getting married and what not.. A lot of expenses.
Few years down the line with kids, the dream of getting the 535I will be delay for a few more years
Unless when i required a bigger car, I will go for the F11 535i touring! hahaha

Congrats on the ride! Have you tried the performance on the local CKD 523i and the grey import you're driving? Any major difference?

Never really like the shape of the X6. Done with SUV, had my fair joy with the E53 X5 then
The GT is superbly comfortable but when you think of it, it was suppose to be a CLS contender, from that aspect it fails quite badly with the shape..
F11 however is more traditional estate with the machoness with it and doesnt loose out the practicality.

Somehow, this sprung to my mind, to buy a Mercedes Viano and Pimp out the interior! like the one in Brabus Business edition

so far can only find continental csc2. ps2 got size for front but not for rear. asked quick save, lim tayar, mps auto, etc.
