Tyre size on e34

What is the factory spec for e34 running on 15" ? If wanting to upgrade to 17" tyres what is the tyre size that needs to be run on the front/rear ? From the forum I gather most are running on 235/45/17 ? I have seen people running on 235/45/17 front and 255/40/17 rear is this a popular combo ?

Tires size much depend on ur rim size as well either is 7j...71/2....8...81/2 ....and so on.......

Am running 234/45/17 all four - senang nak cross.

use to run 255/40/17 rear .... this might piss ppl driving behind you ... itu batu ada naik to their windscreen

Bro..you should be able to find the recommeded specs in your car manual...it should list in detail the tire sizes according to rim size and width

for 81/2 rim.....235 is minimum size that u need.........lower then that ......ur tires will not be able to cover the rim width.......

my E34 running on 225/50/17 with ori E60 530i rim. comfort n handling good combination....

m using 18" AC type 1 for my E34 95 520i Vanos..was used to 245/40/18 front and 275/35/18 rear...but bit regret coz heavy for 520i bout the looks was great! few months ago changed to 225/45/18 f and 255/40/18... feels lighter...
I guess 17" rim is just nice for your 24v520i with 225/45/17f & 245/40/17...
saw nice 17" AC type 4 going for 1200 in the forum...still available ke?
