Tyre Pressure

32 PSI when cold in the morning. When your car is hot at the Petrol station, pump to 40 PSI and next morning measure with tire guage and release excess air until its 32 psi. You can reduce to 30 PSI if it feels to hard.

28psi is the lower limit!. Nothing lower than this, please.

PS: Your tire size *should* be 235/45/17 not 40 profile. Thats too low and your speed will how higher speed than it actually it!.

The recommended pressures are 28PSI front and 32PSI rear (per the owner's manual). But i usually pump 30PSI (F) and 34 PSI ®. Anything lower 30PSI at the rear and my car will scrape humps (on Apex lowering springs).

I used between 30-32 on front and 32-36 on rear on my 235/45/17. e34 525i.

T. Pressure depends the weights of passengers, model (525i ve 530/535i) and how you like to you to handle (over v.s understawed..

I would agree 28-30 should be the lowest and have found BMW recomm of 30f and 32 R to be close to ideal. When travelling fully loaded (4 passengers and full boot of luggage) , BMW's rec of 36 rear was ideal.

My personal pref of all around driving with 1 -2 passenger is F32- R32.

BMW and most Euro car rec another 2-4 psi for higher speed driving.

Hope this helps

hmm, they would always recommend higher pressure if you plan to go for high speeds :D
