I can tell you that to take out and inspect the turbos, won't be cheap. It's stuck in the narrowest place in the engine where you won't be able to take it out without tilting the engine. My last mechanic took down the whole engine for easy access.

My advice, start saving for an RB turbo and enjoy the car now as long as you can. Rebuilt turbos are okay (costs at least 3k) but it won't be a permanent solution. New oem turbos costs around 6K each, and that was before the ringgit drop.

If you think the car is powerful now, wait until you put in a piggy back.

Hi wideawake,

Mind sharing any workshop for turbo inspection or service, quotation etc?

New to 335i, unfortunately started to get some rattle sound. Finger cross.
