Heyya guys,i know this is a long shot but i gotta try.need to finally complete my restoration!!! :slug:anyone has/knows any leads on parts for the E21? i need parts as listed below:- air cond vents, as long as the fins are not broken ill take it- cabin light, not the sunroof model.- speedo cable, from manual gearbox to speedometer- in tank fuel sender, if its the one with fuel pump as in the 323i even better!- driver door window regulator, i wouldnt mind taking the whole door if need to..- fuse box cover, mine is in pieces... for now these are the main items... anyone with leads please do let me know.. :listen:Thanks!rgds,E21Manic:77:

I'll try to check for you. The speedo cable, is it not available new at spare parts shop?

tried at bomin, they have to order it. havent tried at bavarian auto coz i feel they are a bit lansi la.. haha..

I asked bavarian auto before. They do not stock e21 parts anymore, focusing on newer models.

and to add to the list, i have put in a m20 motronic into my E21 but when i got the engine smaller parts were missing.. anyone know where i can find the part that holds the throttle cable as i have circled in the pic?

These people got a good knowledge of new and used parts around KL and Klang Valley, but for the bracket you have circled in you may have to trace down a donor car. You may also find the bracket on a E-12 520i (just a guess).

Is it a 323i you have?

thanks for the input. i paid a visit to wjie20 last weekend and had a look at his E12.. i must say, for a 20+ year old car, that babe is good enough for a showroom!! but is was a carb 525 and the linkages for the carb is even very different compared to the setup on an E21. tried my skills on it but couldt get it started.. carb kept flooding. shall help him out. really nice guy.
mine was a 320 and was looking for something reliable and not a pocket burner so went for the same 320 but motronic.. kept the 4 speed box just to make things interesting for town driving which would be what i would be using mostly..
shall see what direction the guys in stutgart can point me in on this..
i see a beautiful baur in your details... nice one!! any idea on sourcing interior parts tho? even ebay is dry.. :s

My Baur Cab is about 100% external. I have not done inside yet, but seats are very nice. I probably have to change dash as it has a sun-damage to it. Carpet is worn. So there is bits and pieces that need attention. I have not started to trace parts for internal renovation, but the car that has proved itself to be easy to find parts for. This is my first Baur, I have owned 4 E-21 throughout my life two of them being 320, one 316 and this 323i Baur. This one will be with me for a long time as i have spend ridiculous amount of money on it.

Rust on the bottom of the B-pillar has always been a problem on E-21. All mine have had rust there.

yea.. and to think i just finished my bodywork about 2 years ago. floor boards has a hole again and there is even a couple of bubbles on the boot lid.
bro FM, is the bodyshop you sent your to good? looks like it has to go for another round of proper rust killing again.. :motz:
