Top Gear 1998: E46 328i vs 318i

I found this interesting Top Gear clip in You Tube. see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bNLD1indtaw Jeremy Clarkson gave the thumbs up for the E46 328i but rubbished the 318i. Intersting clip. I wonder what he thought of the E46 325i and the 330i.

Personally I think the E46 330Ci is a nice car. Love the sound of the engine and the exhaust tone. 328i vs 318i? That's not fair 325i stands in between so it should be better than the 318i but behind the 328i (I think so).

Dunno if this is true, in Malaysia the E36 328i is more popular than the E46 328i right? On the road, I see a lot of E46 318i compared to the E46 325i/ 328i.

The E36 328 was sold b/w 1995-1998. Therefore u see more on the road than the E46 328i which was sold b/w 1999-2000. In 2001 AB inroduced the double vanos 325i.

As for popularity, u definitely find more 318i in the market than 325/328. It was simply cheaper. Most people either just wanted the badge or were on a budget so the 318i made more sense.
