Just out of curiosity, has anyone here actually worked in a car dealership before in the service department?I just want to know.Do they actually teach the service advisers or make it a point to stress to them that you "must try to deny warranty claims at all costs".Essentially, it is of NO COST at all to the service adviser to get things claimed under warranty. It is probably also of no cost to the dealership as they will then subsequently claim it back from BMW Malaysia. So as such, why is it SO DAMN hard to get things claimed under warranty even when they could possibly be genuine? It is of no cost to these people at all and yet they find interesting reasons time and again to reject warranty claims.Anyone actually know why?On a separate note, i understand from some that the onus of proof is on the dealership when denying a warranty claim.Meaning, if a car has been modified or some part has been added or changed, and on that basis the dealer wishes to deny the warranty claim, the dealer must first prove to the owner that the said part has caused damage to the car and specifically to that part and as such they will not be covering it under warranty.Does this really apply or is it really true?
