But isn't the service intervals determined by the computer system? I was told it can range from 12-20K. Some claim that even after 23K, the computer still doesn't indicate a service requirement.

if the interval is 12k then probably is ok. As for my E90 i regretted the 5 years BSRI because i make it a habit to service my car every 10k and the bsri only kicks in every 20k. So i still need to fork out the expensive service charges and oil when it is not due because i need to go back to BMW and cant do my normal 10k service outside . Anyway enjoy ur ride.

it's all BS from AB. THE bsri not worth. It's determined by OBC maintenance schedule. Which is set by AB. Oil change count down from 30k. Depend on driving style urban or long distance. Don't waste money.
