The PS2 looks a lot better in condition than the PP. What is your budget? You want to try Nexen? Very soft rubber too. Wear very fast, same as PS2.

Why run 18" when you don't like noisy rides? and can't afford its brand new tyres?

The problem with wide tyres 225~265, it suffer aquaplaning real bad when the treads are wearing out. The PP you showed above, I just threw 4 similar condition tyre because its unusable in the wet. Not even 80kph. Car wonders everywhere except straight. The PS2 you showed, to me, its less than 50% thread. No way that's 85% left.

Check the manufacturing years also. If too old (more than 3 yr), just forget about it! Not worth it!

If U look for comfort then use 17". Take 225/45-17"(FA) and 255/40-17"(RA), presumed U are on e46. More comfortable and tyre are cheaper.

Best go all 225/45R17. Can rotate some more.. :D That's what my E90 is running. Brand new PS3 only RM510/ea, manufacturing 2010

Bro AB how about the best tire size for rim 16" ? Thanks and sorry for tumpang the thread.

As i can see the tyres is much harder. Both the design is quite, not V shape or special shape that makes more noise. Well since u have limited budget, i will advise u to take New Nexen tyres which cause same as the 2nd hand Michelin. New tyres of course rubber compound is softer. Important, 2nd hand tyres dont guarantee the condition. At least anything happend to ur new tyres, u can claim on it.

guys ~ thx for the advice ~ but wanna know more about Nexen if is brand new how much will it cost for 1 peace ??

im looking at the size ~ 225/40/18 & 245/40/18 or 235/40/18

my rim is front 18/8.5 & back 18/9.5 ~

thanks

Rule of the thumb: do not buy used tyres. Ones sold on Mudah, are due to retire, don't bother with them even if given free.

Buy new, if can't afford, downgrade your rims to 16 or 15.

How about those who sell their tyre still new just becoz there want to up grade to bigger rims.
