Wow! that's a 2007 Auto Bavaria car.. 40 year old lady driver was killed on the spot.. so much for NCAP 5-star compliance technology.. If its an armco guardrail, then confirm survive.. but too bad our city council prefer to use armco from mother nature.. :(

She did hit the tree though. Dreadful accident. Condolences to the victim.

I tend to speed up around that area too, especially after coming out from the tunnel...

saw an M5 or M5 wannabe in Sepang bronze spun this morning on PLUS heading to KL after tapah... damaged front

never ever speed at that corner. in fact, just as u enter the tunnel pliz, pliz, pliz dont speed! i'm begging u guys! no matter what vehicle u drive/ride. that stretch always kasi susah sama org... no matter coz of accident or the speedtrap. back in 2009 a Honda FD2R also accident at the same spot. the marks of the Honda is still visible at the signboard pillar. that marking is always my reminder of what that corner can really do! today, one more live taken there. condolence to the family. drive safe every1!

quite some accident happen after the tunnel especially when it rains...in the tunnel dry then right out of it its wet...grip differential to significant...i always slow down before i exit the tunnel if its raining or the road is wet...very dangerous...

regardless of the car NCAP 5 stars or 100 stars, when it hit a tree which is planted on the ground, the vehicle always loose...all that force is grounded abruptly into a single point causing severe structural damage...unfortunately armco barrier is not use extensively on our highway or roads...if there is those junkie steals the bracket that hold the armco in place...

I passed by the scene just as the bomba was trying to remove her from the car this morning at around 9.05am on the way to work. A bomba officer was sitting at the passenger seat, probably still trying to remove her from the wreck. The road was pretty wet from the rain this morning. I only saw the passenger side, and thought it wasn't that serious. Didnt see that bad driver's side from hitting the trees.

Just realized on the first photo was probably my car passing by! In between the tow truck and the Accord which suspiciously looks like an E39.

RIP to the deceased.

Does the NCAP test for side impact with a tree???? I guess not... Most crash test are concentrated at the front where most collisions occur... As for side impact, mainly were tested with a wide concrete block or another car which has wider area and also crumple zone ... Against a tree???? with a small surface area and no crumple zone, the forces acted upon that particular point is HUGE.... Even a track car with roll cage oso can't guarantee u'll come out alright.... U're seated inches away from the door... Any side impact of great amount will cause serious injury.... In this case, death...

Wow, sharp eyes bro... I had to squint to make out that it's an E39 there. :p

trees, signage polls and lamp posts are all death traps for motorists, whether 2 wheels or 4.... The politicians always say we can build highways, but these are highways to heaven... Not safe at all... Remember the case of the Sunway College student's BMW was crushed on the SS2 overpass on the LDP some years back??? The lorry lost control, ran across the divider and crushed the car.. Died on the spot... At that time, there were only metal fence on the divider... It took LITRAK quite a few years after that to place the concrete barriers which we have now....

Another spot waiting for a major accident to happen is the Jln Duta stretch. If you're coming from the Segambut roundabout after the tennis court, there's no barrier whatsoever on the divider... If a vehicle were to lose control coming down the slight slope and run over the divider, guess how many cars it can take along with it... I'm surprised nothing happen there so far...
