Does anyone know the name of the performer that night [Sat night]?

Lovely voice, though I have not seen her perform in the mainstream media etc. before.

Must be lounge singer? Hhmmm...

Must go for a repeat performance where she performs with good cigar etc etc. Anyone?

:listen: ...asked David A frm the Alleycats and he will tell you ...

I thought it is a some kind of 'Black-Tie' events ....... only for VIP or special invitees.. !!!!!!! babies pun ada ....... seems the waiter dressed smarter than the guest. heheheh:thefinger:

Yes bro...it was a black-tie function and some of us simply have no respect for such occasion. However, they (with Jeans/Tshirt and babies and all...) are not entirely to be blamed, the organiser shud be "whipped" for allowing them in ...and I will be readily available to volunteer to "whip" those "ladies in black" myself....;)..

Overall, a classy event, and one of the best I've been to from BMW. True fine dining and free flow cocktails and wine. A far cry from the E90 launch at Sime Darby Convention center where we were served fried rice and other sad looking dishes a few years back.

Having owned the E36 in the 90's, i wasnt invited for the E46 launch. Even when i owned the E46, i wasnt invited for the E90 launch.

Its only recently when i got the E90, I was only then invited for the X1 and the F10 launch.

It's really in the past few years that these launches have really been ramped up, with major dinner launches for major model launches (first I attended was the E90 at Stadium Negara) and cocktails for the smaller launches. BMW Malaysia's only been around since '03, so we should be appreciative we're at the point where they've realised how useful these launches are to get people to see and touch the car, as well as give us something back for the silly prices we pay for not only the cars but the maintenance.

BTW F10 launch was not bad, Chris Bauer did a decent job. F01 launch trumped it though, Justin Quek is at a different level, and it was quite cool to have Bic Runga there. The X5 launch a couple of years ago was equally brilliant, Kevin from Lafite (back then) really put on a good show, and having 3 different flutes of Moet and 4 different wines in front of me at the same time ensured that I had a very good night.
