Temperature - Overheat

Hi,My car's temperature overheat very fast and I brought the car to one of nearby BMW mechanic. As per his advice, there's leakage caused by gasket and need to replace it. To do that, he said the top head(engine) need to be overhaul and replace some of the wear-and-tear parts.The cost will be at RM1,500.00Well, I'm just sharing this as I would like to know if there's anyone who had same problem and any suggestion on other cost effective place for me to bring the car.Thanks

Experienced similar problems with my ex-E36 and performed a top overhaul to sort out the overheating problem. It costs about that price, plus and minus. Do check around a few other workshops to source for a cheaper pricing. I did mine at a workshop at Taman Industry Bolton, Batu Cave area. Good job and price quite reasonable too (if I am not mistaken it was below your RM1500) but that was like 2 years back. PM me if you want the phone number of the workshop I went to.

Thanks for the advice Wan.

But i believe it's beyond than just the water tank blockage, cause i saw there's mixture of oil in the water. This indicates there's a leakage, i believe.

i face the same problem before. Several mechanic give several opinion. In the end I change the termostat. problem settle

i penah kena ..just paip sumbat..try tukar semua host paip ( yg penting paip belakang yg terlindung skit bawah aircond filter ) then tukar coolant baru...

nak tya pendapat semua camner nak tau termostat masih elok lagi?brapa harga
