wow, this is interesting. i have been a ardent supersprint user for almost 10 years and 8 cars, 3 of which is bmws but supersprint never made any right hand drive manifolds for them, can't even seem to find one for my current m6 and they will not even consider making a custom one with me paying higher than retail price for it.

agreed..tried to get 'em for my e36 and e46 last time,NO JOY.

was told that SS or most other aftermarket exhaust manufacturer refuses to do manifolds for RHD cars because the steering mechanism gets in the way, especially for inline-6 engines.making a truly equal-length manifold is difficult with the steering mechanism in the way and i guess they decided that BMW's standard manifolds would probably perform better,hence..

of course,u can get custom ones made but would it work better than BMW's manifolds? well,i wouldn't argue against the likes of SS:wink:

For E46 anyways ... the catalytic converters are on the manifolds to comply with EU2 EXHAUST EMISSIONS STANDARD hence there will be restriction as compared to Supersprint and others which is a true free flow headers unlike BMW's :D

Interesting to note that it seems that for E46 there are 4 cats??? Tho anybody is welcome to correct me if i'm wrong :top:

would love to hear from those with experience with JFA's products.had a talk once with Jaafar himself(before his tragic passing) and was told that he's got a Hamann based quad setup which works as good as the original sans the droning that u get with so many setups nowadays.pretty keen but being a replica,i'd love to hear form those with actual experience with JFA's stuffs.

had a JFA derived exhaust for my STi and i must say,it works fine..excellent in fact.but dunno about BMW specific ones.

jfa did my full set custom piping for my e46 325 and it increased abt 12rwhp on dyno - quite impressive gains for a 2.5cc car. It was done about 3 years ago and the xzos system still running strong. It was well built and the sound is awesome!

Nonetheless, i'm also running full Supersprint race exhaust (de-cat) system on my e46 m3. Dollar wise of-course JFA MUCCCH feasable, but the sound of SS - OMG!! JFA system could never come close..

my 2 cents.

Bro Chemical,

How much it cost you at JFA? What r the details of system? Stainless steel?
Sorry many Q's.

cool..thanks for the input.

most poeple i've talked to who's got JFA's system installed usually have nothing but good things to say, which is nice to hear.still contemplating JFA's quad setup for my e60,but worried it might upset the ECU remap that i've got coming.

we'll see..might just go for a simple catback la.
