Autofoam is foam they put into the cavaties of the chassis, to stiffen it up. It's not paint protection.

You know, in spite of the fact that the autobox has just been refurbished, your car is CRYING out for a manual transmission!

yeah,i'm crying out for a manual as well..problem is,mine is e46 and its a bitch to convert to manual compared to e36.
btw,there's a stroked engine(3.2 i think)at stuttgart waiting for a new owner.anyone know if it comes with a gearbox or not?? price is high but i think its open to nego cuz its been there for ages..wud be nice to hook that up with a manual,wudn't it??
..and its a good alternative to FI/SC,isn't it.maybe i'll go visit them for a wee chat.
