Hi, anyone done stroker kit for 4potter engine?can share yr verdict?any website for stroker kit :nyehehe:

too expensive to stroke the 1.8.
there's 2.0 and 2.1 stroker kit but it's expensive if buy new. easier and cheaper to upgrade to 2.0 or 2.5..

but the 1.6 easier lah. just buy used M43B18 can get 1.8 aledi. hehe..

guys, forget about whatever kit for M43.
have search a lot of websites and places here, nothing for M43, accept for one website, KO PERFORMANCE, check out... supercharger kit for M43.

http://koperformance.com/BMW/turbo_superchargers/

best way is to upgrage to iS chassis DOCH! price at 7K++ not including pasang. or pasang rebuilt supercharger kit locally at 5K++ but still not available yet for M43.

banyak mahal lor... kalau ding dong here, ding dong there, dia punya power increase serupa kentut!!!
might as well trade-in 325 model or impreza!!!

just remember when you want to MOD it costs money.....lots of it. Anything is possible just depends how deep is your pocket?

Hi, fabianyee

what is the gain bet M43 1.6 & M43 1.8 4pot engin
do we change the engine only or get a complete half cut?

any idea what is the cost?

anyone done the stroker kits for 4 potter?
Pls share your view

John,

Basically is to swapped the internals over. but may need either change the engine ECU (DME) or adjustable fuel regulator to add more fuel to burn ( got more air aledi per cylinder, so need more fuel)

fabianyee...how good is M42318is perform(in standard form) compared with e30 318? As for conversion, do we use e30 318IS or e36 318IS? Both are M42 right? Is it straight forward process or need to modified here & there...lastly how much it cost??My mechanic say around 9k is enough for the whole process..might consider one....... :nyehehe: :nyehehe: :nyehehe:

the M42 for the E36 318is is quoted at 140hp.

the E30 M42 is rare so most conversion were done using the E36 M42 from the 318is or 318ti compact.

the biggest mod would be on the exhaust extractor.
