Steering Knuckle

I just visit my mechanic to replace the steering rack boots(both side crack)Cost Rm230 My steering wheel used to be the Kok Kok sound,no mechanicCan Gurrantee which parts to changeBut the Mehanic Gurrantee is the STEERING KNUCKLE.Anybody change before?Really solve the steering knocking sound?

Very simple....since your mechanic can guarantee it is the steering knuckle, then have it repalced but don't pay him until the kok kok sound is rectified.

I have this problem before, steering knuckle has upper and lower parts, if necessary you need to replace 2 parts in order to solve the problems
ask you pomen to check properly, insert your key and turn your ignition to position 1 to diengage the steering lock, turn steering left, right
release it quickly, listen if you can hear "Tok Tok " sound, than it is confirmed the steering knuckle, it will cost you abt RM1000.00 to replace 2 new parts.
you will feel the steering firmer when drive on the uneven roads after the replacement.
