SSR Wheels

I was at tire shops looking for SSR GT3 wheels today, and was told that SSR already closed shop. I was asked not to get SSR wheels, because would not be able to get warranty anymore, and most stocks are old one.Is it really true that SSR has closed shop ? It will be such a waste as they so far produced some of the lightest rims (semi-solid forged) in the market (the famed type-C, etc).

i think what they said is true....

what i heard was a couple of things....

first they are closing shop

second they filed for bankruptcy protection

third...they are closed and bought by another company

who knows which is true.

what about Kosei's?..... heard their popular stateside among UDM autocrossers (K1's)..... apparently very light and strong

Yes the Kosei K1s are very popular...and affordable too.

A few are starting to use Team Dynamic wheels...very affordable and lite too.

Volks Racing are very nice but a little pricey.
