More pronounced during the beginning of a journey and the sound disappears later in the journey.

Usually is more pronounced during heavier braking, for example slowing down from faster speeds.

On some occasions, it is totally silent.

I went to the mechanic whom changed my front pads recently and he said the disc is 'thinned' from braking action. He showed a 'thinned' disc of a another BMW and said it's 'normal'. Prior to the front brake pad change, there was no sound.

The sound I hear is "krik krik krik krik .."

Should I bring to another mechanic to get another opinion?

I had been asking around and was told it was the disc rotor (brake disc) and had to be changed in a pair together with fresh brake pads

So I went to Ingress Auto in Damansara Perdana. I just changed the disc rotors since the brake pads are still fresh at less than 7,0000 km.

Ingress told me using the existing brake pads are fine (earlier they told me they had to be changed together but after inspection, they said could re-use).

The sound is still there the day after replacement.

Is it something else, or I should be changing the brake pads again? I am due to visit them in a few days to check again.
