Hi Guys,Any of you using speed trap detector? if yes how much u bought it, how accurate is it and where to get it?tq.

dont bother as in malaysia, cops use lazers and once they tag you, you are ticketed. not like the states where they are still using radar and you can get a stray signal befoe it gets u..... and its illegal in malaysia to use a detector.

Try Valentine 1, it picks up Radar and Lazer signal.

yes a val1 can pick up lazers but once they hit you with it, you get a ticket, so its only good for letting you know that you have a ticket.

owning any radar and lazer detector in malaysia is illegal and i have not ever owned one. but i did borrow a Val1 from a friend who has now migrated. i experimented with one and it does work as claimed.. telling u which direction a radar/lazer is coming from. and the guys who use the lazer, target specific lanes and the signal wont be picked up even if u are in the next lane. the beam does not spread enough for the val1 to pick it up. which is good cause, it means that the detectors are accurate and there is less of a chance for you to get busted when its not u who have been speeding. i know this cause i drove up and down past the same cop with a lazer a few times to find out. so trust me, dont waste your money on one in malaysia. and we dont have radar here.
