For those regulars that obtain their spare parts from Singapore, any recommendations on shops to check out. I know of Eng Soon on Serangood Rd, any others which is good. Appreciate the name of the shop and contact details. Tks.

if u r goin to singapore, perhaps u can get me a 'crankshaft' sensor and 'camshaft' sensor for my e36 328i 1996..........

Another shop you could get bimmer parts is at
Sin Guan Hin Auto Parts
23 Lembu Road off Serangoon Road next to Mustaffa Centre.
Take note they dont sell Bilstein Shocks only got BOGE shocks. All bilsteins need to get from ENG SOON.

I'm looking specifically at Goodyear F1 GSD3 (Germany) in 225/40/18 size all round.

(I'm open to other similar alternatives as well).

Thanks in advance.

3er,

you may want to try Sin Ming Autocare at 176 Sin Ming Drive. It has lots of tyre shops!

How about tyres?
Where to get in SG?
i get some of my tires from Poh Heng Tyres (sg)...check out the previous mentioned bmw-sg forum for details.

Yup ... Poh Heng Tires offer very good deals. I can get you the chap's cellphone number, 3er ... My ES100s are on their way out too. Looking at some alternatives for a change. Cheers.

Oh yes juzz to remind u guys buying tyres in singapore, avoid distributors such as Stamford Tyres etc. Because their price will not be as low as u think. You'll be surprised local tyre shops in SG are selling slightly lower than the distibutors and do check the tyres manufacturing year.

3er GOODYEAR F1 tyres, I have not yet seen bimmers on 18" using them in sg. Most with 18" are on michelin pilots, Pirellis p6000, conti sport contact, bridgestone GII/GIII

whoa..yeah man...some of their rims/tyres are not so nicely priced...(read: ridiculous, at times..).. so many other options are cheaper than them!!!..:).. but they're good fr like annual sale events, where everything else goes for a song...especially cleaning/waxing products..:)

if you need help to source for tyres in Sgp, call me 98204176. I drives an E46 and knows all the loh bang in and out of Singapore + JB.

Got duty or not i got no idea and who cares, but the parts prices are the lowest at ENG SOON and Sin Guan Hin. This i based from my experience because its those two spare parts shops are the one's I go to. I never thought the original BMW parts were cheap for the E30, goshh those workshops really slash the throat of BMW owners. Recently I asked one workshop to change my fan clutch, know what they quote me SGD$180 for the fan clutch excluding labour. With labour sgd$200 where as the bloody fan clutch actually cost SGD$75 for SACHS and SGD$80 for BEHR at any of those two spare part shops. In the end i change it myself :D
