hey mates how frequent do you guys have a leak coming from the radiator hose OR overheating due to the radiator hose popped open ??was just wondering if the black ones " non silicon type " can't last long these days ... mine lasted only a year and it's torn apart which luckily i detected some sort of whitty stain on my drive way which was left behind from the red line water wetter that i've been using ...any one had the same experience of the radiator hose that can't last any longer especially the black ones which we could buy easily from any spare part shop .... could it be due to the material durability which is not as good as it was previously ...thinking of going with those BLUE / RED silicon hoses ...any shops in malaysia that carries these hoses ...? OR need to buy from overseas ...pls share your opinions and toughts about this radiator hoses ...

Actually the ori hoses last for years. If it's oem maybe shorter duration but will last 2-3 years. Of course if it's silicone it will last for a long long time and gives you a peace of mind.

Got mine from Calvin tan. I think I saw some at GC also.

these days the after market ones also comes with ori looking packing and with the white part number stamp on the hoses ...very difficult to differentiate ...unlike some of the jap car ones you'll see somesort of snake looking pattern for the ori ones ...

GC don't carry for e36'ers ...will try to give a call to C.T and check with him if he's got any for e36 ...

I was looking them last month when i change the hose but gave up coz didnt know where to get one in local.
