Some help before I get my first F30

Dear fellow members,

Have been camping on the forum non stop for the past week and I have to say I definitely appreciate all the information shared by the members.

I am considering a used F30 and I will be meeting up with a seller to test drive his 2013 F30 in a couple of days, just managed to confirm the appointment. Have asked him for his grant, service records, etc during the meet up. According to him the car is still under warranty until 2018. I would like to know how would I be able to confirm this with AB? Can a potential buyer like myself be able to obtain the warranty status of the vehicle?

Was planning to send the car to a mechanic friend of mine for inspection before sealing the deal but was wondering if I could bring my car to authorised service centres for inspection instead? This will be my first UDM therefore would want this special moment to be memorable, in a good way of course.

U deal with car dealer or direct owner?
Maybe u can ask them to provide geran copy in order to get their chasis and engine number so can check with AB or any dealer the car history. If buy from car dealer, normally they change mileage first

Hi everyone,

Got my car from a direct seller and enjoying my ride now. Perhaps I can share a little from this experience of mine.

Met the owner and viewed the car in person. From visual inspection the car was in great condition. I was supposed to bring the car to my mechanic but in the end I decided to have the owner send the car to AB for a 360 inspection, at my cost. The inspection was RM480 and the report showed that the car was in great shape, apart from the battery (As expected since the car was rarely driven).

At the same time I requested for the service records and confirmed that the mileage is authentic and have not been tempered with. The service record also showed that no major claims was made, only having problems with the rear tail lights. Happy with the results, we proceeded with the buying process and the rest was history.

Got the 328i buddy. Yeah, a small price to ensure that you don't get a lemon.

The report was pretty comprehensive to boot. Way better than the usual 'thumbs up, Ok can buy' reply from my mechanic. Lol
