Just notice that there are a lot (really a lot!) of fine and minor scratches on my windscreen. Did not realize that when I collected my car about 10 days ago. Only notice them when I drove at night. The scratches present like spider web. After careful inspect last night, I went to AB this morning and was told external is not covered under warranty. Anyway, AB promised to send the claim to BMW Malaysia and wait for the answer. Not a big deal to get a windscreen repair outside. But, was rather disappointed that the pre-delivery inspection did not notice these scratches. My SA suspects the worker that cleaned the car was not using the proper cloth. So, if you do collect your new F30, besides checking the car body, don't forget about the windscreen.

It was standard procedure for the dealership to was and polish each car before collection. But knowing the type of workers they get for this job, i politely told my SA not to have my car washed at the dealership before I collected the car. He smiled knowing why I made the request. If u care for ur car, dun go for the complimentary washes as well. They never take care of the paint or windows.

Latest update, AB notify me that BMW Malaysia agrees to change a new windscreen for me. A pleasant surprise and impressed by AB Glenmarie for the service level and speed response.

This has developed to an interesting stage. Received a call from AB to send in my car last week. Now my car is in AB Glenmarie for 3 days and nothing was done. The initial promise seems to disappear. BMW Malaysia told AB that they will send someone to inspect yesterday. But, according to the AB, no one turned up to inspect. Now, BMW Malaysia claimed that no complaint from other dealers for the same problem. This is really a joke to me... :)

No, I wanted to tint it with Clearplex (the windscreen protection film outside the car) and also put on the clear bra for the bumper and headlights. But, was a bit busy and did not have time to book appointment. Luckily, I was driving at night and noticed the scratches before sending for tinting. BMW Malaysia acknowledged it as manufacturing defects because the scratches were inside the layers. AB Glenmarie replaced it for me already. So, the problem was resolved and I will go for Clearplex next week. :)

I've seen these guys in AB who were washing and polishing newly bought UDMs till I was fearful about parking mine so close to the dealership, looking at how they seem so negligent in their methods of basic car care.

My 3M tinted teared off abit at right rear window when I received the car. :banghead:
SA never admit his mistake and make appointment to reassemble tinted again.
