RPM up & down during idle

Hi guys,today morning having problem with RPM goin up to 1 and coming down to 0.5 when car is left idle, it keeps on doing that until the car gets warm up, anyone has this problem before? how to fix... pls help thanks

It could be your ICV (idle control valve) clogged up. It needs cleaning to free the air flow. Btw what's your engine code?

It would be helpful if you state your car model, year and engine spec. Not all BMW are built the same.

sorry guys, my model is 328i M52TUB28, anyway i haven't get the codes yet..

did you do anything etc sevice , hose change before this happened ?

nope bro, nothing done, last service was on feb 2012..

if that's not the case then it could be the idle control valve that needs to be cleaned ..as mentioned by huskar above ...OR a loose hose connection where your ICV sits ..

OR try checking your plugs as same thing happen to me but upon cleaning the ICV problem still persist and once i removed the plugs i saw oil condensation on the ceramic tip due to a worn plug gasket ...so end up changing the engine top cover gasket ...
