Hey guys,

A friend of mine is clearing of the Royal Purple stocks in hand. Price is cheap. 5w/30, 10w/30, 10w/40, 15w/40, 20w/50 available. It's a one time offer, after that he won't be carrying RP anymore.

PM if interested.

there is a writeup on royal purple today (9/7) on NST CBT section, short articles but interesting, check it out

thanks to JYazid for sending me the oil test report, if any of u guys downloaded the motoroil bible PDF file i mention, u will notice the comparison on page 151-177 on oil test on different grade. again comparing back with the report that JYazid send me, its so different.

comparing both report on 10W40, royal purple is the best among 15 other brand, but motoroil bible shows that royal purple is on 15 place among other brand. i went to the site www.streetcommodores.com where yazid got the report and guess what, royal purple is one of their sponsor in that website with a banner above.

maybe i am not right about this coz motoroil bible is conducting 8-10 different test on each brand to conclude the best brand (eg. pour point, flash point, four ball wear test, etc) and the other report that showing royal purple is the best is only conducting a loading test to determine the scar length on the piston.

anyone can determine if i am wrong in this which i feel motoroil bible is correct and streetcommodores report is wrong coz royal purple is their sponsor?

best bible so far that i've come across is ...

just change the engine oil every 30~45 days. use some al-chepo brands will do..just like mine i'm using nasa GD 11. yes only GD11 and not the rest of nasa grades cuz it's kindda difficult to obtain this GD 11.

and also i can re-sale my drained out engine oil for rm20/= or use it into my second car lorrr ...save me money too.

note : as for royal purple ,umm heard lotsa good remarks on it from our fellow brother Yazid.

Thanks for the info on Royal Purple. It's pricey, bro but I guess it's worth it to anyone who can spend the money on it.

I bought Bardahl engine oil (15 - 50W) for about RM 38.00 per bottle. I need 2 since I have a 6 pot and it seems ok to me. No noise, power OK.

Now how accurate is the 3 green leds that tell me when I should change the oil?

Does it tell you to change based on a preset mileage that it calculates from the odometer?

Thanks, bro's
