Thanks for the info! Tak baca paper lagi. hehe

soembody must be sure happy, now can have frequent fill ups with no guilt...

If pumping 97, go with v power racing. It does make a difference, tested with 3 ///M3. 95, 97 and V power racing is the best.

..v-power is shel, right?? Is it true that it leave some 'sludge' over engine internals, if used all the time?? I heard rumor last weekend i went to Singapore..

yes its Shell...

how does it cause sludge?

my regular station for V-Power Racing is;
- Sprint HW opposite Eastin beside petronas.
- NSE Duta Toll North Bound
- NSE Duta Toll South Bound
- Subang near SS15 behind McD

has anybody tried the new brand "petron"? how is it? or is it the same fuel with esso?

I've been using Shell V-Power 97 since I brought my car back from the UK. My friend who also came back from the UK brought back a E90 320i and he started off with RON95 (not sure what brand) fuel. The engine developed a problem within a couple of months and had to be brought in to be serviced. He was then advised to use Shell V-Power 97 only. I'm guessing the engine mapping of the UK car might be different and problem develops.

As for V-Power Racing... unless you're going to a track day, why bother? :) You all drive on the limits on public roads? :O

If I'm not mistaken, Petron is actually a synergy/merger between Esso & Mobil. The merger has actually been going on for the past couple of years, but only now they are doing the rebranding exercise to 'Petron'. Guess its the same fuel as Esso/Mobil last time.

petron is the petroleum retail brand in philippines own by San Miguel...the esso mobil merger happened long ago has nothing to do with petron...San Miguel bought the Esso Mobil retail and refinery business in Malaysia and rebrand it to Petron as we know today...there is a possibility that it is still the same additives or they use their own Petron additives...until they shed any light on this its still unknown

Yes Mr P, VP 97 & VP Racing mixed for the M5 only. VPR must be 3.30 or so now. This month got to take it easy :4:

... while the rest continue to enjoy their tax rebate through RON95 subsidy.. :4: I actually use it to fund my ciggy.. haha! :top:
