Rim sizes for E24

Just want to survey the original or acceptable rim sizes.7 x 16J or 71/2 x 16J or 8 x 16J?I'm concerned on the width of the rims, and the effects on ride, comfort, FC.Of course the wider rims means wider tyres.Am planning to get rims from the Shah Alam tyres shop.Cheers.

just for information currently my 635csi use 225/55/16 tyres and rims is 7x16j oem rims from a e39 ithink the offset is et20

Umm E39, E34, E24, E28 rims are compatible to each other?

yes with a hub spacer that you can buy for rm50 per set. e24 can fit rims off set from et14 to et22. i am looking for a 18" e63 oem rims now to fit my 625csi

Best size should be 225/50/16. All five bolt BMW rims should fit the Six except those from the E36 - wrong offset. San's rite - E39 will need spacers.

I'm staying off hub spacers. Its giving vibration on my current ride, even after balancing.
Anyway..what about the rims width? 7 or 7.5 or 8?
Or all of them can be fitted, only will compromise on weight, if wider rims, or less traction, if less wide rims and less wide tyres.

just upgraded to bbs rc 18x8.5 et13 with 235x45x18. the bbs rims is very light and make a lot of difference in driving feel. car feel lighter now. now i know why people pay so much for light weight rims.

ya but ridiculous price I think... rm38k was quoted. I didn't see the interior or engine, not sure what the real problem is. The owner owe some money to the tyre shop. another e23 wide nose also inside, same owner-owed-the-shop case.
