Rim Repair

Hi all. Help needed as unable to locate threads related to my problem. Turned too near left and now left rear rim is badly scratched as it hit the kerb but RFT ok... Pls advise where such repair can be done(PJ or SA preferred) and normally how many days will the car need to be in the w/shop as no spare wheel to drive around! Cost? Cheers...

there is one near Sunway and usually for a good job done, it requires 3/4 days. I will try and get details for you soon .... :4:

Thanks bro. Hope to hear from you soon. It is quite a deep scratch with some metal loss. Any idea how they put additional metal back to make it nice and smooth?

U can get some suggestions by searching "refurbish" in the forum.

If you dont want the hassle, go see manji at mps auto, sunway pjs 7. Say that i told you to ask for replacement wheel n tyres while your rims are repaired.

Not really the same shop. I refer to the workshop which the tyre shop send their rim to them normally.

My problem is just one lonely wheel with scratches as my car is less than 1 year old. Will it be worthwhile for Manji to repair? Perhaps he will charge me for a full set(x4) work!
