Reverse gear prob

Hi to all sifus,Recently facing some prob with my 'R' gear and need some advice what are the possible probs.It has happen twice this week, when I shift the gear to 'R' the car does not move. It's like the gear does not click. 'D' no prob. But after driving the car for about 10 to 15mins there is no prob with the reverse gear.Any idea what is wrong? Thanks.

What model and year of manufacture is your bimmer? I assume the transmission is automatic?

Could be a simple problem like worn out contact for the gear shift position.

I had this problem recently with my SSG transmission.

Thanks for your advice.

Went to KarlBenz and Koo said it might be the "fan body" not sure if I got it right ( still very new bimmer owner ) . Koo is not sure himself. Need some trial and error. He propose to let me use a new "fan body" ( cost RM1800.00 ) and if the problem resolve then only I pay. If prob still persist there is no charge but told him no thanks. Thought of dropping by Mspeed for a 2nd opinion.

U might be right, maybe just some worn out contact ( hope it's just that, pocket not so deep lar )
