Replacing SMG I with SMG II in 3.25i E46

Hi Guys,,how u doin out there?.I have owned a E46 3.251 SMG awhile .I wonder if you guys have ever replaced a SMG11 gearbox into this model.Well ,gathered it was cool with a 6 speed.Well ,,,why not if the price is reasonable .Just to get some input .Am sure some would have done this with your favourite mechanics..Thanking you guy out there in anticipation.cheersnezitic
