Hi, what is the recommended mileage to service your F10, the indicator show first service at 25,000, there are various recommendation around, can anyone share or help. How many services is included as standard service package from BMW, there is information record from the owners manual too.Look forward to hear from the sifu..

With BSRI packages the manufacturer is pushing the intervals to a longer period. Many believe that 20k interval is pretty long and best to halve it. The earlier services will be at your own cost.

Also the on board computer will advise on maintenance based on how you use the car. If you drive hard and a lot the intervals will be shorter. Example ... Instead of 20k it may be say 15k.

Yeah the on board indicator will change depending on driving condition. When I first got the car in July it said next service in 29000km 7/2014. After 1-2 weeks and driving a few hundred km, the indicator said next service in 28000km 7/2014.

Now I've driven about 1100km and it says next service in 26000km 7/2014.

Mine is a 523i, but I did it at 5k / 15k/ 25k/ 35k. Basically every 10,000 km I service the car.

Despite technology of BMW, I don't think the lubricants can sustain 25,000km.

Mine showing 20,000km 04/2014. After driving for 2,500km, it's still showing 20,000km 04/2014. By the way, mine is 520i

Trincy ... the computer adjusts itself ... some form of its own logic.

I asked the guy in Ingress whether i should do a service at 10k but he said no need as BMW knows what they are doing as they already tested it. Also my SA in BMW Park Lane London were also against it and saying I will be only wasting money.

But the guy in AB Glenmarie did recommend a service at 10k. Heck i heard they are making a loss and also got few bad reviews, maybe they just want to make more money only.

So I am sticking to the onboard computer which is to do mine at 26k.

Just sent my car for service at +/-6600km, as the onboard computer shows 'engine oil overdue'. The service center informed me the next service will be 20k km from now(26600 kM), I was not convince, so I called BMW Malaysia, to my surprise, the mileage interval for service varies. According to BMW technical advisor recommended by BMW Germany, gasoline/petrol car is good for 20k km, 320d is good for 15k km, 520d is good for 13k km…hmmm why it's different instead of both 3 and 5 carry the same engine? Then I was told it will be free (under the BS+RI) if I send my car for service after 1 year or reaching the recommended mileage, whichever come first.
