Rear Seat Sun Shade

I had the groovy on my F10 5 series before
to be honest, I only used the rear as the front always gave me problem like taking parking tickets
going through custom
is a bit cumbersome to bring it down there and then
Used to be 200 ringgit for a set of 4 but now the price had increased by a fair bit
I also had the same set for E90 but I had sold the car with it.

Similar attachment with groovy shades but only comes in 2 pieces for the rear windows. Sorry I'm outstation so can't share any pictures of the ori sun shades but pretty much similar to groovy...

So the original BMW almost the same as what Groovy sell? Double sided tape as well?

I have the BMW ori sun shades that only come for the rear windows...RM380 from dealer I think and it uses double sided tapes with clips. Best not to touch it after installing it....troublesome to keep it.

Hopefully the LCI model and all future models come with built in sun shades like how the Mercedes W205 has it as stock fitment...

i got the ori from BMW for RM380 (50% discount), when i got my car in Feb 15. Installation is almost same with Groovy. still need double sided tape and also the for the 4 clips to hold the shade. it is perfect fit, even if i were to wind down the rear window and keep the shade on, no issue of falling off (of course at low speed).

i think difference here is the price and with groovy u get extra 2 piece to partially cover the driver and passenger side window. and also the BMW logo instead of the groovy logo.

How does the bmw look like when installed? Any pics?
This is how it looks like. It almost impossible to see inside unless u stick your face to the window. I like it coz it is almost full coverage of the rear passenger window. With the rear windscreen shade on, it basically give u lots of privacy for the rear passenger. those breast feeding mother with appreciate it.

Correct. I enquired and they have not been able to engineer one for the frameless front window.
