Radio Turn On Without Key

HI E60 Brother,Just wonder does anyone experienced the car Radio turn on without switch on / inserted key? I had several time that once I unlock the car and the radio just turn on with the muzic and also the sound volume are not able to adjust... Appreciate your help

I think you accidently press the radio knob at the front panel. Just incase it happen again, repress the knob and the radio will immediately off. E60 radio can operates for 20 minutes witout key being inserted.

My car (not BMW) radio will stay on for 60 minutes ...
When I turn off the engine and switch off the accessories (if you just turn off the engine, the accessories can still be on)
and then manually turn on the radio... The display will say "60 minutes"

I think not 20 mins lar.. I think I read it from manual b4, it is 10 mins only. Becoz for bluetooth connection if you are on the phone after engine off, you can still talk after that.

BMW does something for a reason...if you turn on your radio for 60 minutes without the engine turned on your battery would likely kong and need to jump start later.

Talking from self experience...haha. Was doing something in my car, key in ignition while listening to the radio. Forgot how long I was in there..suddenly radio stops and I tried to turn it back on and......nothing. Tried to crank the engine to recharge the battery....nothing.

Continued to do the job in the car...and about half an hour later successfully done a restart....weak sounding at first though.

Learned my lesson...

I got the figure from the manual book. Mine is Uk spec.Maybe it is different over different spec. it is just radio not other accessories .
