Radio RDS not available

My Japan spec E70 had its frequency range converted to suit our local radio range by the dealer's panel accessories shop. But my radio doesn't have RDS..... Why hah?

try and run ECU diagnosis, I'm sure error code on antenna amplifier will appear

What method of conversion they use? Reprogramming or using fm booster?

I think reprogramming as the display of frequency is as per the Malaysia range...

maybe the programming doesn't have RDS function. Saw how Freddie Obemeier do it to my car, he installed a script file containing series of commands. Maybe in yr case, the RDS function command is missing.

Perfect bro, no complain so far. Except for crackling sound on rear speaker. still trying to figure out the cause
